Day Twentyfour Day Twentysix

Day Twentyfive

Mileage- Guess what? None.

Today was pretty uneventful. Except, of course, for the fact that I caught up with some great friends. I stopped in where I used to work (Sanders & Company) after having lunch with some of them. It was good just to sit around and talk about, guess what, old memories. The thing about coming back to here is that I really do enjoy reminiscing, but it takes its toll. I mean that my mind is kind of reeling from all the memories not to mention from being on the road for over 3 weeks with more to come.

So, after visiting with those great people at Sanders, I had dinner with my dear friend Ruth. You see, Ruth and I visited San Francisco about 9 years ago and both said "wouldn't it be great to live here?" We made a sort of a pact that we would move out there. Well, I kept my word. . .ahem. . .Ruth, unfortunately got caught up here in Indy. I'm really kidding, but I often think how much many of my friends would love it out there.

The other fun part of the evening is that my friend Brad also joined us for dinner. It doesn't mean much to you, but it is the first time in YEARS that the 3 of us have been out together. So, it was a special occasion.

That's about it. Really. I am torn with staying to see friends and family a bit more, but really getting anxious to start the rest of my trip. I am not sure if I am getting anxious to start to head home, or just back out on the road. I do think that I will eventually want to head home, but everything has been so great so far. [ Ed: He's already forgotten Roswell! ]

I am not looking forward to the cold weather up north, but I have all the right gear and I AM looking forward to this part of the trip. More tomorrow...
